Saving for a sister...

Isn't it amazing how serving someone else puts a little joy in our heart and a smile on our face. My daughter is not a happy camper when she wakes up in the morning. We try to go to bed early so our mornings will start a little better, but that isn't often the case. Last week, when I woke her up to get ready for school, she said, "I need to finish my dream." Unfortunately, she had to finish that dream another night. So, every night we talk about getting up happier the next morning.

Right after waking her this morning, I was surprised to find her with a big smile and see her with her change purse picking up change from our dresser. When I asked her what she was doing, she said, "I'm saving money to get my sister." It is going to take every penny we can find around here to save for our sister, but we know if this is God's desire He will finance it penny by penny. She is excited and we are so proud of her heart to provide a home to a little girl that wouldn't otherwise have a family. What a joy it was to see that smile...I just hope for it again tomorrow morning!

On another note, we are excited to follow our friends, The Addington's, on their journey to China to adopt their little girl starting tomorrow. Please pray for their safety and God's guidance and peace as they travel. By clicking on their name, you can see the blog they have begun to chronicle their journey.
