Just click accept...

On June 3rd, I posted that we had gotten a referral of a little girl. Since her information was two years old we were concerned about her special need. She has a heart condition and we felt we needed more answers before we could accept her referral. So after consulting with a pediatric cardiologist and verifying her condition we spent time praying whether this was the child God had planned for our family. We knew it was important to have a clear direction from God, each other and a medical professional. As soon as Tia saw her picture I asked what she thought and she said, "just click accept!" So we showed her referral information to Brandon and his comment was, "well, just click accept." So I am excited to report that last Friday we did just that, we sent an email accepting her referral to our adoption agency. Monday, I gathered papers for our EA(electronic acceptance) to be submitted, wrote our Nuture Plan letter, faxed and scanned our family photo and passport photo and PRAYED! And today I am excited to announce that our EA has been submitted! We are one step closer to our little girl. I can't wait to post pictures, but due to agency regulations I am not allowed to do that until we get our RA(referral acceptance). We hope you will follow our journey to China and pray that God will hold our little girl in the palm of His hand until we can bring her home.

So for now I will answer a question that many have asked with one picture:

Add another super excited person to this section. I can not believe you already know the precious face of your daughter. I will love to pray and follow along as you prepare to add her to your already amazing family. What a blessing and privilege to serve our God. He never fails. And while we wait here in TX, HE is holding and loving your girl!!! AWESOME.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! So thankful that you "just clicked accept". I read on AW's list that your new daughter has CHD. I'm still figuring things out, but our new son has CHD and ToF... or are they one in the same, or an extension of each other? As I said, I'm still researching. We too just clicked accept (talked to a cardiologist and of course, prayed first) last month and are hopefully dtc in July. How about you - when do you think you'll be dtc... and what province is your new sweetie in? Your family is beautiful!!
God bless your journey,

Toni, we have also been doing research. Our daughter has a condition called tricuspid atresia. She has already had one surgery, but will need another when she gets home. I am praying we can be DTC soon. We have had a very difficult time getting some of the needed paperwork from our previous adoption so that our homestudy could be completed. It was finally completed yesterday and we look for it in the mail this week. We are going to take it to be authenticated instead of mailing so it can move more quickly. Praying the rest of this journey goes smoothly. We can't wait to hold her. She is from the Zhejiang province, and yours?
