Forever Family Day Officially
This morning we began our day by going back to the Civil Affairs Office to finalize our adoption. Yesterday we got our little girl, but she wasn't officially ours until today. Our guide, Wendy, met us and did all of the translation making sure that all of us understood exactly what was going on. What an amazing day to be able to do this on International Children's Day, a holiday for children in China. After our adoption ceremony we went to the children's park with MANY others and walked around. It is beautiful here and we had a chance to take pictures with the pretty flowers. God has been so faithful and Lia has been very happy all day today. There is one language that we all understand - LOVE. She has given us so many kisses today and is crazy about her big sister. We had a chance this afternoon to go the pool at the hotel and she loved the water. Unfortunatly, after a little bit, it was very obvious that we still have a baby girl with a sick heart. Her lips turned very bright blue. Please be praying that God heals her heart. We have her cardiologist appt. scheduled as soon as we get home. The rest of the day we spent time playing and resting in the hotel room. Tonight Tia had the chance to skype with her classmates at school and really loved that. I have a very sleepy little girl that I need to put to bed, so until tomorrow here are a few more pictures.

I think somebody already wants to be like her big sister, Tia! Too cute:) What a momentous day to have Lia officially your daughter in the eyes of China...but in our Fathers's eyes, she was already your daughter.
We love you.
Oh my, she looks like such a happy girl!! It is such a joy to see her so comfortable with each of you! What a blessing!!
My fave pic is the one of the girls chillin in the bed.
She looks like such a happy girl! I will be praying for her little heart while you are in China.
Praying for you and that she continues to do well.
Please let me know if I can pray anything specifically or help in any way as her heart appt. near. Our little girl had the Fontan in Sept. 2008 just 6 days after we arrived home.
Please know I'll be thinking of your family in the days ahead. She looks so happy even with her blue hue! Bless her heart! I noticed the swimming photos, was the water warm? I know for S even now it is so hard for her to warm up once she gets chilled. I have found body heat to do that best with quick warming!
Heart hugs, Leslie (awaa family)
She is such a sweet little girl...so happy God had her for you all along...can't wait to see her! We love you guys!!

Love that smile!! Praising God for the unity that he has brought you -- it brings tears to my eyes. Praying for her heart to stay strong!
Blessings,

Suzette,
Your pictures continue to speak a thousand words! I am in awe of how comfortable Lia looks with all of you-- copying big sister in bed (precious), loving the pool, and oh my- that grin with her daddy! God truly prepared your girl for her family. Praising Him for his goodness!
My heart is overjoyed to see all of you together! I bet Lia's big brothers are counting the days.
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. My heart is blessed, BIG!
Love,
Tina
